Preparing for your photoshoot

You may want to have a change of clothes if you have chosen the Peach Melba Photoshoot. Some customers choose a casual set of clothes in toning colours then a smarter set of clothes. Bright colours look great but if you don’t like them that’s fine. If you can’t make up your mind what to wear, bring in several ideas and we will help style you on the day. We may not to get to photograph you in all of them, but at least you will have a choice.

We do recommend that you avoid wearing large patterns which may overwhelm you or horizontal stripes that will make you appear wider. Closely spaced stripes and patterns can cause weird effects in digital photos. Neutral colours and solids work best, although try not to wear one tone all over as it will make you look bland and undefined.

Bring along your makeup bag so you can do any touching up if needed. And men - please don't be shy to use a bit of face powder to hide T-Zone shine! (we usually have some so please ask if you don't have any). A full makeover can be done for an extra charge if booked in advance.

Don't forget jewellery or hair accessories!

Children

If you child has a favourite toy or blanket, please bring it along with you.

Don't forget to wipe noses and bring a little brush for tidying hair.

Bring a change of clothes in case they have an accident - it does happen occasionally. :-)

If your child/baby is unhappy, please don't stress! We can usually cheer them up. If you need to, we can always stop so you can feed them or give them a cuddle. If all else fails we can book you in another time when they are happier.

Makeover and Boudoir

Before your session think head to toe when preparing for your photoshoot. Shave or wax, have your hair cut, get a pedicure, manicure and go shopping for clothes and lingerie that fits well and that make you feel like a million pounds when you're wearing them.

If you are having a boudoir shoot and you're worried about 'muffin tops' make sure any basques are long, skimming your hips and not finishing at your waist. Boned basques will help hold you in. Wearing a nice pair of jeans with your basque or lingerie can look uber sexy if you're unsure about getting your legs out. Don't forget shoes and accessories too. Don't wear tight underwear before your session as straps etc can leave red marks in photographs and we may have to make an additional charge to retouch them out.

If you have a spray tan get it done at least three days prior to your session so that you have time to fade a little and for you to exfoliate any areas that have absorbed too much and have turned orange.

Our stylist recommends that you have freshly washed and dried hair. Face should have been cleansed, toned and moisturised. It will take upwards from 40 minutes for your makeup and hair.

Don't forget to bring jewellery and hair accessories. And if there are any other things you think would be a great prop, bring them along!

As a special treat, we will give you discount vouchers for Adorn Beauty in Friars Square, Aylesbury.
